Performance Info

Good evening everyone! Here is information regarding both Friday and Saturday night:

Friday - Football vs. EHS

• Be in the dance room by 5:15 pm
• Be completely ready in squads by 5:45
• Full uniform, curly hair, performance make-up (just like we did for pictures)
• NO jewelry or nail polish (don't forget tights)
  
• Make sure you have your Kangarette bag
• We are the HOME team; Kick-off is at 7:30 pm
• The room will be open after school for you to get ready
  
• Make sure you eat BEFORE you put your uniform on
  

Saturday - Spirit Spectacular

• Be in the dance room by 6:30 pm
• Be completely ready in squads by 6:45 pm
• Wear pep rally top, black v-fronts, tights, black jazz shoes (no socks)
  
• Hair = Left-side part, low ponytail; Performance make-up
• No jewelry or nail polish
• Make sure you have your Kangarette bag
  
• Event starts at 8:00 pm (at Leo Buckley)
  
• Admission is $6 (children 3 & under are free)

Please let me (or your officer) know if you have any questions or concerns... I'm SO excited to see you ladies on the field. You have all been working so hard and I know these performances are going to be amazing!

Tickets for Spirit Spectacular

Hope everyone is having a great first week back at school. Tomorrow morning (Wednesday) during practice there will be a representative from the Ellison HS Band selling tickets for Spirit Spectacular. Spirit Spectacular is this Saturday, August 27th at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $6 each... children under 3 are free. If you would like to purchase tickets in advance, please bring money for the tickets to practice tomorrow only. Tickets will be available at the door at the same price, but if you purchase in advance you will not have to wait in line on Saturday evening!

Just wanted to pass that information along!

Reminders

Good afternoon!

I just wanted to send out a few reminders about the remainder of this week and look ahead to next week!! Things are coming together really well and I am so excited about our upcoming performances!

If you still owe me any paperwork, please get that turned in ASAP. You should be able to view your pictures online using the code on the order form - please bring your order forms and payments to practice on Friday (the photographers will be picking them up from me that afternoon). Also, don't forget to bring your case of water in by the first day of school... thanks to those who have already taken care of this! Please make sure that you have a lock for your locker by Monday as well.

Schedule:

• Wednesday 8/17: No Practice
• Thursday 8/18: Practice from 8-10 am
• Friday 8/19: Teacher breakfast @ 7:30 am (you do NOT have to bring anything, just meet in the cafeteria at 7:30); Wear black racerback top with zebra shorts; We will practice after the breakfast until 1 pm; Tryouts for Ellison/Spirit (Dynamite) and pep rally (Old School)
  

• Monday 8/22: First day of school... No practice
• Tuesday 8/23 to Friday 8/26: Practice @ 7 am

Friday 8/26 will be our first pep rally and football game! Saturday 8/27 is Spirit Spectacular! More details about these performances will follow next week.

Update for next week (August 15-19)

Hello everyone,

Due to the excessive heat, the KHS Band and Kangarettes are revising next week's schedule for the kids safety and to avoid any health issues that may occur. The schedule was initially set for the evening but has been changed to the morning. The athletics programs are also going to a similar schedule in the morning as well. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience.

Here is the schedule for next week:

• Monday (8/15) 8am-10am
• Tuesday (8/16) 8am-10am
• Wednesday (8/17) No practice scheduled
• Thursday (8/18) 8am-10am
• Friday (8/19) 8am-1pm

CHANGE - Spirit Spectacular

Spirit Spectacular will now be held on Saturday, August 27th. Please change your calendars. There will be NO team obligation on Saturday, August 20th. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

Also - don't forget that your forms are due on Monday. Enjoy your weekend!

Updates & Announcements

Hello everyone - hope you are all having a great week so far. There are a few schedule updates and announcements that I need to make everyone aware of.

Don't forget that we will be voting on Social Officers tomorrow (Wednesday, August 3rd). If you are going out for Social Officer, please have all of your materials ready to present after lunch.

First of all, practice this Thursday (August 4th) will be from 12 pm to 3 pm... there will be NO morning practice. Remember that there is no practice this Friday, August 5th.

The 3 forms that you received today need to signed and returned no later than Monday, August 8th.

TEAM PICTURES: AWC Photography will be doing our team pictures on Thursday, August 11th at 2:00 pm in the Kangarette room. We will do a picture of the team, officers, and each squad and then you will be able to take individual or buddy pictures. There will be order forms available on picture day, and you will have an opportunity to view your pictures online before your order forms are due.

For the pictures - girls will wear full field uniform including curly hair and performance make-up. Performance make-up is purple eyeshadow with red lipstick. If you have any questions about your hair or make-up, please talk to your officer for help!

- Practice 8 am - 12 pm

Wednesday:
- Practice 8 am - 12 pm

- Tryouts for Spirit Spectacular (Jazz)

Everyone should have received a Fall calendar with many important dates and events today at practice. Please look over the calendar and put it somewhere you can see frequently!
