Updates and Reminders

Hello all... Here are a few updates and reminders!! The next 3 weeks are going to be really, really busy so just bear with me and keep a positive attitude!!

Practice this week

• Every morning @ 7:45
• Remember - if you are late more than 2 times in a week, you owe me a clean section of the mirror by Friday afternoon!
• Soloists - The room will be open for you to practice every afternoon until at least 5:00 (except for Wednesday). Please take advantage of this opportunity to practice your solo FULL OUT.
• Officer Practice - Wednesday afternoon - 4:15 to 5:45
  

Basketball games

• Friday, January 28th -- Officers ONLY; Report @ 5:15 completely ready; Wear KHS top, crops, converse (white ankle socks); Hair = left-side part, low ponytail
  
• Tuesday, February 1st -- Team Hip Hop; Report @ 6:00 completely ready; Wear KHS top, v-fronts, converse (black or white socks please); hair = left-side part, low ponytail
• Tuesday, February 8th -- Team Jazz; Report @ 6:00 completely ready; Wear KHS top, v-fronts, black jazz shoes; hair = left-side part, low ponytail
  

Mandatory After-school Practices

• Thursday, February 3rd and Thursday, February 10th
• Practice will be from 4:15 to 6:00

Contest!!!!

• First contest - Saturday, February 12th @ Ellison HS
• The girls were given a bright orange packet last Friday at practice with lots of information regarding contest season
• Included in the packet was a packing list of things that they will need for contest... Make sure you are getting these things together now and not waiting until the last minute
  
• Double check your tights, shoes, make-up, purchase eye lashes, etc...
• Second contest - Saturday, March 5th in San Antonio (more details coming)
  
• Solo/duet fees for Contest #2 DUE by Thursday, February 10th (Solos = $75/Duets = $120)
  

Tryouts for 2011-2012

• It's hard to believe that tryouts are coming up in just 2 short months! I wanted to give you some important dates to mark on your calendars now...
• Mandatory Parent Meeting - Thursday, March 10th @ 6 pm (KHS cafeteria)
• Tryout Clinic - Monday 3/28 - Wednesday 3/30 - 4:30 to 6:00 (KHS gym)
• Actual Tryout Day - Thursday 3/31 starting @ 4:30 in Kangarette room
